General Notary Work

Notaries Public are "commissioned" (i.e., licensed) by the Secretary of State. Notarial functions include:
  • administering oaths and affirmations;
  • taking affidavits and depositions;
  • receiving and certifying acknowledgments or proof of such written instruments as deeds, mortgages and powers of attorney; and;

Loan Signing Papers

Notary public who are certified and trained to handle loan document signings such as purchases, refinances, reverse mortgages, home equity lines of credit, loan modifications, etc. The Certified Signing Agent's duties are to present each document included in the loan-closing package to the signer(s), witness the signing of each document, and notarize each document in the package.* Fees for loan closings prices vary based on the type of loans, how many signers, location, and other factors.

Fees

   Mobile notaries travel to the customer's residence, place of business, or other location of choice to notarize documents.  The schedule fees are determined by several factors, and the maximum state fees are stated below:

FOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & JURAT: An acknowledgment ensures the identity of the signer. A signer will declare to a notary officer that they willingly sign a document. For a notary to perform an acknowledgment, you must appear in person. NO EXCEPTIONS.       FEES:                $2.00 per person                $2.00 for each witness thereafter
JURAT: Jurat is part of an affidavit where the officer (notary public) certifies that it was sworn to before him. It is not the affidavit. When a Jurat is needed, the person must appear before the notary with the document. The notary will administer the oath or affirmation and affirm the statements are factual      FEES:  $2.00 per person $2.00 each per person including 
OATH OR AFFIRMATION: Notaries public must administer oaths and affirmations in the manner and form as prescribed by the Civil Practice Law and Rules               FEES: $2.00 per person (not including the Jurats) 
PROOF OF EXECUTION: This notary act takes place when a subscribing witness or executing witness appears before a notary and swears that another particular person signed a document.              FEES:$2.00 plus              $2.00 for each sworn witness.Swearing Witness $2.00
